it's less than a month to christmas..i don't know whether to be excited or not. i always used to think anyone who got into the christmas spirit before december 1st was having a laugh; but this year i have to admit that i am feeling rather festive. mmm ok so now i'm just stalling from finishing my history essay; but updates are always good.

on the christmas note though - my festive cheer seems to extend to ordering gingerbread lattes and window shopping for party clothes but i've not put any thought into what to get anyone yet. OH and there's the ice rink and george square and all the lights! so pretty! whoever said christmas was all about the presents was quite clearly lying, then there's advent calenders, rubbish tv that everyone secretly likes AND a holiday from uni (lets just ignore the fact theres exams afterwards).

ok back onto a bit of normality now: last weekend lou came home which was ace. only a few weeks then she'll be home for the hols. decided to have a girls night in on the friday to catch up on all her goings on and fill her in on the glasgow banter. felt so old school though, i love sleepovers! so much good unhealthy food was consumed and sad dvd's watched - i'd forgotten how i always cry at the end of stepmom. i am a loser for the record. also got to hear the goss from nalia on robbie. he actually seems perfect and i'm so glad she's finially got someone who treats her the way she deserves.
saturday night was DEATH DISCO BABY - yeah! lou was so touched we had bought her a ticket it was so cute. got all dressed up and headed into town where nalia made us meet up with james m et al. not that i mind james, well in fact i do because of the way he treated nalia but lets just ignore that little fact. for once of a night out he didn't act like a complete and utter knob. started off in soba then james decided he wanted to go to sleazy's for some reason so we all trooped there. death disco tho was actually immense. even if i was slightly out of it, music was top notch, got my groove on with my girls and everyone was just up for a good time. no drama or anything. supreme supreme. afterwards lou came back to mind where i had intentions of making her some good munchies but i was far too drunken and passed out on my bed.
sunday - lou left early to see her parents before going back down and i got sad again :( also felt really ill but that was quite obviously self inflicted. donna sent me her photos from DD and they're so funny - as long as they don't go into public circulation i might just preserve a shred of dignity. in the afternoon trooped up to the library to try and do some research for sunset song which didn't go too badly. urgh have quite a bit of work to do this week though in finishing those essays and my french project. ah well. being at the library on a sunday was slightly depressing howver so on the way home i treated myself to a starbucks.

last week was ok - uni - usual. yesterday went shopping as was demonstrated by my overly christmas cheer earlier. last night met donna in vodka wodka for a few drinks where nalia and kate later joined us. so bloody busy though. but it was nice to see the girls. was almost tempted to hit the town again but i resisted due to the fact i feel i have a cold coming on and wasn't really dressed and was tired. today has been a bit of a waste really. had good intentions of doing a lot of work but distractions like the hollyoaks omnibus really messed up my plans.

on wednesday however; i'm going to see grandmaster flash which should be good. it's at the classic grand - never been so should be interesting. also meeting up with alex on friday after uni for lunch; again interesting since he's arranged the whole thing. we'll see how it goes.

right i really should be off instead of rattling on like some insane livejournal-er.
