Wheels have fallen off the travel wagon

Im sick of travelling.
I dont like not having transport of my own. Without transport, and with the weather getting nastier and nastier, I am mostly confined to cities which means museums, churches, restaurants and nightclubs. Not that these are bad things!!! I have certainly seen some excellent ones but I think I have seen enough of them for now.
I dont like spending the silly amounts of money needed to get around here in Europe.....maybe I will come back later with a bike, or just go somewhere else!!

So, from here, probablz a week in Paris, a few dazs in amsterdam and then a week or so in London before I jet off to canada for less than it takes to travel on the train from one end of Germanz to the other.

Berlin was a fascinating city!! I got to do cool stuff like see the wall, visit where the old offices for the SS and Gestapo used to be, ride around on the U2 and went to an absolutelz massive nightclub and had a great time. I stood on top of the ground where Hitlers bunker was, ate amazinglz tastz sausages, walked up the glass dome of the parliament building, went out to the parks area where all the old Prussian palaces were, ate some grapes and another small fruit from said gardens, met some cool people and more!
So much history.....so many new things, everything is changing there and the city is going under (25% unemployment, massive debt). Wow.

In the old art gallery they had an exhibition by a German impressionist Max Liebermann. I was walking around feeling frankly unimpressed and then wandered into a side room to be greeted by three fantastic Monet paintings. Ahhhhhhh, so thats what he was TRYING to do was all I could think.
