Hybrid House, and why?: Slytherclaw with Slytherpuff values... because I can't get by on brains alone Fave Hogwarts Class(es), and why?: Potions because of encouragement from teachers (my high school AP Chemistry teacher ran her classes like Snape, for example) - Transfiguration for subject matter... Arithmancy because of math skills? Fave Wizarding Shop(s), and why?: We really only learn about the types of shops that would appeal to a schoolboy? Most of the fandom is solidly adults by now (and I was 23 when I started reading the books) so I feel like there's a major omission there! Fave Wizarding Restaurant(s), and why?: given how the Hogwarts school meals are described, I don't really think wizarding restaurants are a thing? maybe I'm missing something here Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade, and why?: Hogsmeade: it's a better place to hang out/spend time Preferred Wand Core, and why?: I would LOVE to have Salazar Slytherin's basilisk fang wand call out to me, but most likely the spells of "force and elegance" from the white river monster spine would be a better fit Golden Trio or Silver Trio, and why? neither... they're all too young for my taste as peers? don't try to tell me they were born around 1979-80

Slytherclaw with Slytherpuff values, I like that! I remember when I was around the first time I was known for being Slytherpuffy, too. :-)
Well, in terms of wizarding shops, there's the academic shops: Flourish & Blotts, Scrivenshaft's, Wiseacre's, Slug & Jiggers, Dogweed & Deathcap, then there's the clothing stores, Madam Malkins, Twilfitt & Tattings, Gladrags, there's the Owl Emporium and Magical Menagerie for the creature lovers. Borgin & Burkes, lol, I'd be curious enough to pop in there. Ollivanders of course, I mean I'd love to while away my time in there talking with Ollivander about wands and wandlore and taking a look at all those lovely wands.
Perhaps I should have been clearer, I just meant if you had a choice between Three Broomsticks, Leaky Cauldron, Hogs Head, Madam Puddifoot's, Florean Fortesque's, etc, where would you be more apt to go?

Think of it this way, if either trio were older, which would you rather spend time with based on the personalities? Or if you'd prefer, tell me about any other characters you'd prefer to spend time with?

If it wasn't so cold I'd go for ice cream at Florean Fortescue, but among those choices it really depends on my mood, the ambiance, and what I'm feeling hungry/thirsty for at the moment. Maybe I'd go to the Three Broomsticks if I'm looking for something tasty - or the Hog's Head if I feel like I'd rather learn about interesting news than the gossip of teenagers.
As for your last question, I really have a very hard time seeing either trio as anything older than schoolchildren or teenagers. Yes, Slytherin!Harry fanfic is one of my biggest inspirations in real life, but I have an easier time seeing Harry in Slytherin with a different set of traits emphasized than seeing him as anything older than seventeen! Looking at other characters, I'll say that Andromeda Tonks seems like a really interesting character: a Slytherin who doesn't believe in blood prejudice but at the same time isn't blindly loyal to Dumbledore. I wouldn't mind hanging out with Regulus Black either from that generation... or Bill Weasley, for that matter (he'd have lots of interesting things to talk about).

Oh, now I'm intrigued, do you have any good Slytherin!Harry fic recs? Andromeda and Regulus, good choices! I am definitely interested in Regulus, too. If you happen to know any good fic revolving around him, please do send them my way.
Can I ask why its difficult for you to see either trio as adults? For me it's mainly Neville and Luna who I'd love to hang with. Ginny's fine, but it's all about Nev and Luna. If I were to hang out with any other character, I'd choose Arthur because he's hilarious and he's very much the father I WISH I had. I'd likely also hang with Percy, because I can totally understand where he's coming from, and we have quite a bit in common.
