Pronouns: He/Him/His (which are the ones I use, as in I want these used when people address or refer to me). I ask this because I don't want to just assume and run the risk of misgendering someone and causing them annoyance or hurt their feelings.
Just a comment, being manipulative isn't exclusive to Slytherin. Anyone can be, really, but Slytherins would definitely be more subtle with it and do it with finesse, whereas a Gryffindor would be less subtle and less sly with it.
As to the Golden/Silver trio thing, it wasn't about not liking either one. It was about which trio would you rather hang with and solve problems with? Like how you mesh with them, lol. For myself, I love both equally, but I don't think I'd want to hang out with the Golden Trio too much because, as awesome as the adventures could be, and hey life experience gained, but with their personalities- they can be so volatile sometimes, lol. Like too many needless fights and drama, and to be brutally honest, I don't know that I could stand being with Ron and Hermione for too long. I totally ADMIRE the shit out of Hermy for being so damn smart, clever, and logical- and I totally get the need to prove oneself and be the best you can be, but damn she needs to calm down a bit and don't be such an "insufferable know-it-all" all the time (I mean, really, her getting jealous of Neville stepping the hell up in the DA and doing better than her on occasion, I mean, girl, give others a chance- especially someone like Neville who struggled so hard for so long and never made a big to-do about. He just kept trying to do his best.) Also, the way she is ALL logic- leaving no room for the things that might be unexplainable or things like intuition and 'gut' feelings/instincts. Not everything in life is logical, certainly not emotions, psychology, and human behavior.
WOW, I totally didn't mean to go off about Hermione like that, lol. I figure I'm all right with piling on like that because if she and I were friends, I'm the friend that fully realizes all your flaws, understands and accepts them, but don't think for one moment I'm going to stay silent when you're doing something stupid or are being unreasonable. I want that in return so I can learn and grow from it.
Okay, one last thing: Ron. He can be so hella funny and cool sometimes, and he's loyal, but his insecurities are so obvious and heavy to deal with sometimes- always comparing himself to others and being jealous of Harry. I have my own insecurities, like don't pile on, please. ;-)
Now that I've likely scared you off with my intensity... (like please tell me if I'm being too intense and opinionated and I'll turn it down a notch).

Ah, the pronouns thing, I wondered if it was that but didn't want to get it wrong! I'm fine with she/her/hers etc.
Oh I know being manipulative isn't a solely Slytherin quality. Gryffindors definitely have a hint of it in them too. Like you say, everyone can have that quality, it's just how they use it. I can be a bit sly with it when I want to be which is where the Slytherin side comes in.
Ah I get you now. My answer would still be the Golden Trio I think, because as much as I like Luna, Neville & Ginny I don't think I'd want to be around them all the time. I like to think I'd get on pretty well with Harry, Ron & Hermione (although I would almost certainly be more on Harry & Ron's side when it comes to homework etc. than Hermione's). That said, I totally get why she gets jealous of Neville doing better than her in the DA. She's competitive and is used to being the best, and I get a bit like that with things like quizzes etc. Like, my team at work would have a weekly quiz which I would always win but on the odd occasion where someone would beat me, it would always annoy me a bit. But I'm not quite as logical as her, that's for sure as I've already said, I'm basically Harry lol.
Yeah, the Ron thing would get a bit wearing I think but at the same time, I guess Harry could consider his feelings a little more sometimes. Although, when Ron didn't believe that Harry hadn't put his own name in the goblet of fire, that annoyed me. Like, how would Harry have been able to fool Dumbledore's age line?! He only pays enough attention in class to get by! He definitely doesn't know advanced magic like that lol.

OMG sorry it's taken me forever to get to this! I am shamed. SHAME.
Honestly, considering Harry's a bit stunted emotionally when it comes to how to behave with friends/peer groups because he'd never been allowed to be properly socialized with others, I think he did pretty well in dealing with Ron and his feelings. He was as considerate as he could- I mean the kid has all this stuff going on and still shares whatever he has with Ron, helps Ron out where he can- meanwhile, Ron who has been socialized, who has his siblings and likely other friends growing up and has a stable loving family can't get outside of himself every now and then to remember Harry's just a kid like him, that while he has money NOW, he never had access to it before, that just because everyone knows his name and he's famous and all, he never knew any of that until JUST before coming to Hogwarts? Voldy's after him in different ways, he's got Snape hating on him, all of this, and yeah... I think I'll stop there, lol. I mean, I get they're kids, and they're both stupid, and they're boys, so double stupid most of the time, lol, but honestly I just think out of both of them, Ron definitely could have been better about certain things (most things pre-OotP, I should be clear).
