I definitely love astronomy, but I am soooooooo not good with math and it has been a factor in my not being successful at much of anything and why I am stuck in life. I have a learning disorder where math is concerned, so suffice it to say I absolutely HATE math.

I am very much into divination and the mystical. I have my own tarot and oracle decks and I use tarot cards in spellwork. I'm an Eclectic Practitioner, you see. Admittedly I haven't done much for a long while because I do still live at home with super religious parents and I do have a strongly developed sense of self-preservation, lol.

My other fave classes are History of Magic (history major with a bachelor's degree in history here), Charms (because omg it would be so amazing to change the moods of the assholes I'm always surrounded by- like ZAP cheering charm for you, BAM calming charm for you, etc.), Transfiguration (BAM, just turned an abusive man into a mouse, or that serial rapist into a insect, you get the idea), Potions because it's the practical application of Herbology, I feel.

I find myself caught between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Hogsmeade is where I'd love to live, and Diagon Alley is where I'd love to shop. I mean Diagon Alley does boast Flourish & Blotts, and Knockturn Alley is right around the corner so a trip to Burgin and Borkes isn't out of the way. Plus, Diagon Alley has the Weasley Wizard Wheezes! In terms of restaurants I admit I do prefer the Three Broomsticks.

As for my wand core preference, of the three main ones mine would be phoenix feather- not simply because the Phoenix is literally my spirit animal (because I feel I am part phoenix myself, as in I've died several times in my life and been reborn from the ashes) but also because the description of the phoenix feather core rather describes me to a T: "Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won."

Like you, I far prefer the Silver Trio. Luna and Neville would be my besties (and maybe Neville would turn gay for me, lol, one can dream!). With Luna I could feel free to be my weird as fuck self and fly my freak flag, and we could both use our unconventional and out of the box personalities to problem solve in unique ways together. With Neville I could feel safe to be different and vulnerable and I think we could understand each other in ways no one else could understand either of us. We could both be the voice of reason together, and I truly believe we could be fantastic for each other. With Ginny, I think we could be fabulous fucking feminists together, take down names and kick ass together. Honestly, I think we'd be one awesome posse.
