(no subject)
Wow - Saving Jane's "Girl Next Door" just came on and it sounds eerily like Taylor Swift's "You Belong to Me."
Also, probably an unpopular opinion, but there would be a small gleeful part of me jumping up and down if Adam Lambert's album tanked. The more I see and hear from/about him, the less I like him. I wouldn't have bought his album anyway (not my style of music) but the hype is getting to be too much (especially for someone who hasn't even released a single yet).
I've been sick for the past couple of days. Not flu symptoms, just a bad cold. How you can tell it's pretty bad? I didn't go to class -or- work today. The class thing seems to be okay since I participate in class (I even stayed after class to give our instructor some handy tips on dealing with teaching to teachers at 9am on a Friday morning) but usually you have to be comatose to get excused from these classes. We'll see. And I feel really bad about not going to work, but it was getting to the point where I thought walking from the desk to the west side of the stacks would make me out of breath. And that's a sign you should stay on the couch and nap some more. I figured sleep was the best thing I could do, if I hope to be walking around long enough to get some work done the rest of the weekend (I actually slept from about 5pm yesterday to 9:30am this morning). The thought occurred to me this afternoon though that a boyfriend would really come in handy. You know, while I don't want anyone to necessarily see me all gross and snotty, having someone to go get ice cream, NyQuill, and more kleenex would be useful.
My sister is driving back from Cali this weekend (last I heard, she was in AZ) and she actually moved around her work schedule to go see David Cook with me in November (I bought the tickets today :D ).
