Today i was walking downtown after school, it was pretty nice day. While i was down there, i went to cross the street. When i got to the other side, there was this old man, there were people walking all around him, he looked kind of confused. I felt bad for him, he was just out of his element. As I went to walk by him, he said "Could you please help me cross the street?". He looked like he was in his 80's, and he had a cane, so i helped him cross. He had trouble stepping up and down from the curb to the sidewalk, so i think that's why he needed help, and it was a long cross walk, i think he was afraid that he wouldn't make the light and get caught up in traffic. Anyways, i helped him get to the other side of the street,(the the senior apartments across from acacia park) and he smiled and said thank you. He seemed really great full. He was just a nice old man that needed help crossing the street. Usually, you'er supposed to feel good about that kind of thing right? But it just made me feel really depressed. I mean, someday, i'm going to be that guy. I might be put in a home, i'm going to have a cane, and I'm going depend on other people for every aspect of my life. I guess that's just how life works.
