Cross at being left waiting, Hermione narrowed her eyes at Ron as he came towards her. Her arms were crossed over her chest and there was a definite tilt to her chin.
"Nice of you to join me." She snipped grateful to see him even though he was tardy.
Ron just shook his head. "I didn't say I'd be here in 2 seconds or something. So you can't call me late." He sounded as sure of it as she sounded sure of all the useless information she always knew.
Exasperated, Hermione rolled her eyes, not bothering to hide her annoyance. Ron had a very special way of getting under her skin and making her crazy. This once she vowed, they would work out the problem without fighting. The idea was funny enough she almost laughed. Feeling better she brightened a bit.
"Here look at this book." She stated simply pulling it out from behind her and handing it over. She waited patiently for Ron to have the same sort of epiphany she had.
Raising an eyebrow Hermione grimaced slightly. Pushing the book open in his hands she opened it to the section on curses and how to cast them. Assuming he could take it from there, she let him skim the pages.
"Honestly Ron, I swear you'd have me breathe for you so you wouldn't have to if you could figure out how."
Sighing, Hermione caved in. Pulling the book from Ron she quickly found the part she wanted him to read.
"..these curses though dangerous can be used for an indefinite amount of time. Control of the cursed one is not possible but if the spell is worded correctly, control is un-neccesary. The curses in the following five feet of parchment are used to magnify a hidden desire or inherent behavior."
Snapping the book shut, Hermione raised an eyebrow haughtily in Ron's direction. She waited impatiently for some sort of response still holding the book.
Last night...well, we talked to Harry. A big group of us. It didn't go over that great.
Let's meet up.

You did? I'm not surprised it didn't go well. We should meet up, where?

I told you it wouldn't if anybody talked to him about it.
Don't care. Let's go outside.

Sounds great, a walk around the gardens or should we go down to Hagrid's? I want to be back by 8pm.

Stop being a freak about curfew. You'll be back by then
Eh, I'm not feeling Hagrid's. We'll just walk.
-Ron

A walk is fine, we need to visit Hagrid at some point though. It's been too long since we've seen him.
I'm not being a "freak" about curfew, Ron it's a rule and you know it!
~Hermione

Yeah but I don't feel like explaining this to him.
And it's a rule I know all about. If I've got to be all prefect-like, then I'm going to be in by curfew.
Just meet me in the courtyard.

Fine, be there in 5 minutes.

When he finally got out there he gave her a half wave. "Hey."

"What am I looking at?"

"And since we know I'd do that, let's do this the way we know we're going to. You point exactly to what I'm supposed to be looking at."
