It feels so empty in this place, now.

Though, I understand some new people have arrived. Hello!

I didn't know you had time for hobbies.

I have time for everything, mister Kurotsuchi.

Inclination, then. By this point, haven't you tried out everything?

Getting new opinions from different backgrounds is useful for getting to know people's thoughts and abilities.

[Quaintly speaking, it makes people easier to manipulate.]

Oh, learning about abilities can be worthwhile. But asking them directly doesn't work?

Not if they're secretive in nature. I'm not offering to take advantage of people, I'm offering pleasant conversation.

Conversation? Waste of time if you're not learning something. Coaxing secrets out of anything is barely worthwhile.

And if they're very worthwhile secrets?

Or, really, they don't even have to be that. There is something to be said for the idea of building up personal relationships. That is- the more people you have willing to die for you in the long run, the better.

If you don't know what they are, how would you know they were worthwhile?

I've already built a daughter who fulfills that purpose. Why would I start with already made people?

The luck of the draw, I suppose.

[...built? Yuca wouldn't have put it past this man to dabble in... well, building people. All the same, this was the first he's heard of it, that he could recall.] Well- for starters, not all of us have that capability, much less here. Besides, there's not much else to do with my time, to be quite honest.

I've never liked gambling.

If the best way to occupy yourself is conversation, then perhaps you do need a hobby. Still, do you have any victims in mind?

I appreciate the thought. And- yes, in a manner of speaking. Alphonse Elric is probably the most noteworthy, though Xerxes Break is proving to be quite the interesting case, though I don't trust him in the slightest.

There are others too, of course, but none that have really piqued my interest.

And how many life or death situations do you expect to find yourself in? Involuntary ones, of course.

And so your hobby is adding more to this available list?

Not many, thusfar. But the more people on my side I get, the more interesting psychological experiments I can play out. And, to be even more simple... the more power one has over the situation, the better, correct? And I'm limited by my physical and intellectual prowess, while people such as yourself have spiritual swords, or various forms of magic. It should be only logical for me to garner people capable of defending themselves, just in case the opportunity arises where my abilities aren't enough.

I suppose it could be called a hobby, yes.

What you do with them isn't any interest of mine, as long as this protection doesn't get in the way of me.

[He almost laughs at that.]

Of course not. Humans are a hobby- your experiments are much more important.
