Two years.
[A small pause- Yuca looks down at the PCD, fiddling with some of the buttons.]
It's something to look back on, I suppose.
[He's quiet, almost vulnerable. Yuca bites his lower lip and looks away. He doesn't care. He's never cared. People were just here for a short time before they died, and took all of their feelings with them.

Yuca...
[He wasn't sure if he was wrong in assuming that someone had been sent home, but he wasn't entirely sure now was the right time to ask.]

[Seeing you so sad was breaking his heart, Yuca. If he hadn't already been wearing his shoes, he wouldn't have even bothered pulling them on before booking it out the door. The wounds of loss were raw ones and best not treated alone. He did his best not to slam open the door of the church as he slowed to a brisk walk right up to Yuca's side. [There weren't words that could fix this. He knew that. It wasn't only here that he knew what it felt like to lose someone who swore to be there when he needed them and when that happened nothing anyone could say made him feel any better. So for now he would just stay here and make soothing sounds and rock him gently and do his best not to cry too.]

But the idea of Yuca getting left behind here, he couldn't handle it. Especially since he could do something about it. Fuck the Animus. As long as Yuca was here, he would stay. He had to. Someone had to prove to him that all he had come to learn and believe about the world wasn't necessarily true.]
We'll figure something out.
