I wish I could give you a more permanent solution for this ... But as I understood it, it is not sleep itself that is theproblem, but your dreams?

Sleeping in small increments of thirty to forty minutes.

I have no guarantee that it will work, but it might avoid the worst of the dream and get you some R.E.M. sleep.

You would need something to function as an alarm clock. Or, alternately, someone to wake you up.

If it does work, your rhythm might be a little different from most people, but you might be able to rest.
