Game 019 [Voice] - There's a Pun in Here...

Mar 24, 2010 23:13

With so many people suddenly dying, I was wondering: what's it like to die here, where death isn't permanent? If you've died back in your home world, what's the afterlife like where you're from?

And even if you haven't, does death seem less important, does it carry less weight here than it did back home?

Dying isn't a game. It doesn't matter if it's permanent or not. It still has an affect on everyone connected to that person...

Even if they're reborn.

But isn't most of its weight grounded in the fact that once someone dies, they can never come back?

In our world, people are reborn. Even after Mikage died, he came back to me. That didn't make his death hurt any less.

Have you died, then?

No.

What does it mean for someone to be reborn?

Their soul can return to live again.

Details. How long does it take? Does the body look the same as it used to? Do they have to grow up again, or are they the age they died at?

Why is that important? Mikage came back as a fyuulong and Frau's important person a seedling...

I'm curious. These things likely vary greatly between worlds.

So it's similar to what my world would call reincarnation?

I don't know why you'd be curious.

Your world has it too?

Not in the same way. Some people believe that Souls are reborn after the body dies, but since even if that's the case, the person doesn't remember anything, it hardly matters.

Personally, I don't think it works that way.

After you complete your three wishes, you die and return to the Chief of Heaven. That's how it works.

How do you think it works then?

Soul exists as a type of energy that permeates the world. When a new life is created, that energy gathers into a Soul that binds to the life. When that life ends, unless there is something else to bind it without the body, the Soul disperses again.

At least, that's my theory. Hee hee.

Pretty involved theory.

There's little in life that's simple. Why would death be any different?
