Game 019 [Voice] - There's a Pun in Here...

Mar 24, 2010 23:13

With so many people suddenly dying, I was wondering: what's it like to die here, where death isn't permanent? If you've died back in your home world, what's the afterlife like where you're from?

And even if you haven't, does death seem less important, does it carry less weight here than it did back home?

I think like... you just loose a day or something. Like, it feels like you slept all day, but it's not like I've ever met anyone who's died before.

Is that your guess, then? Or is there something to back it up?

Just guessing really. I'm trying to not make it sound as bad as it could be. I'd just avoid getting killed in the first place.

Wishful thinking?

Well, I guess. It's not like I've ever been anywhere near death...

Do you think death is less serious here?

Only slightly. I mean, like, there has to be some cost of coming back to life but, the fact that you can come back to life makes it a little less tragic.

Just a little? Isn't death marked by its permanence?

Well, yeah, it should be. But, this place is like, a huge experiment, right? Sure, they could just keep getting new subjects or whatever, but, it's better to maintain what you have as long as you can. So, if they kill eachother off, they'll have nothing to study.

Death... well, if you can correct it, then, your subjects can living on for you to study...

Ugh... I hate that I know about this crap first hand...

But does that make it only a little less tragic?

I guess. Nobody I know has died yet...

Nope. Can't say I ever knew anyone who did.

Nope. I said it was just a guess to begin with, didn't I Joshua?

Yes, but guessing wildly and making educated guesses are two different things entirely.
