[ The screen snaps on to reveal the backs of theatre seats. They seem all but empty, except for ones occupied by the owner of the phone and the individual beside her. The tuft of brown hair and Rudy-like nose that peeks through the edge of the screen answers that question. ]

[Sensible shoes are an advantage in times like these. Cameron's been running to get here as quickly as possible, and though she's a little winded she doesn't look likely to slow down until she finds Mindy. Maybe it's playing favorites, maybe that's a little unethical, but she can't help feeling a little responsible for the girl and if Mindy's in danger, she's going to do her damnedest to fix things.

This is probably why she's a little absent-minded and less polite than usual when she shoulders past the 'woman' in the baggy coat, though she does take the time to mutter as she goes,]

Sorry!

[She stops short at that, turning on a heel to face the stranger, looking startled.]

I'm sorry, do I know you?

[Since he doesn't stop she starts again almost immediately, keeping pace.]

[She hesitates and looks at him a little more closely, standing in the doorway before moving through. Oh. There are hints in the shape of her-- his-- face, but without the expectation... well, it's an easy enough mistake to make. Cameron knows that all too well.]

Wilson?

[Just checking.]

He did.

[Definitely Wilson's usual girly handwriting, not that she really distrusts him. Stranger things have happened. On a regular basis, too.]

I brought some gauze and disinfectants to do what we can, and called it in.

[At the sound of the door opening, Rudy perks up, his head emerging like a ferret's from behind the row of seats. The darkness of the room and the illumination of the hall leaves the people there in silhouette, but it isn't difficult to guess who they might be, or what their purpose is here.]

Down here.

[ Mindy is barely lucid when the doctors arrive. She's crumpled against Rudy's chest, blood from her face soaking into the fabric of the jacket-pillow. ]

[Cameron slows her pace a little as she walks down the aisle; showing up in an obvious panic just isn't a good habit. She kneels down beside them smoothly, setting her purse on a seat.]

Mindy, it's Dr. Cameron. Can you hear me?

[She glances up at Wilson briefly before looking back, intently, at Mindy.]

[An observant third-party might notice that there is currently more tension in Rudy's shoulders than anyone who has encountered his usual unflappable nature might expect; a very observant third-party might notice the fact that his jaw is clenched behind the camouflage of the line of his mouth, or that when he moves to shift Mindy to the floor, there is an unusual stiffness in his arms from where they have locked into place around her. But fortunately, he is hardly the focus of attention in this situation.]

Mindy.

[He eases her out of his arms and onto the ground, taking care to keep her head cushioned as he shifts her as carefully as possible.]

She stopped responding to verbal commands about ninety seconds ago.

[ She continues to lie there, clearly alive, though it's equally as clear that she's unconscious. ]

[Honestly she didn't expect much of a response, but felt it was better to keep talking. Shock is tricky. She's focusing on practical matters. Where to bandage, what needs pressure. Whether anything needs to be splinted. There'll be time enough later to wonder why Mindy's spontaneously bleeding to death.]

They'll give her fluids in the ER. We just need to get her prepped to move.

[That sounds a little less pessimistic than 'all we can do is try to make her bleed out a little slower,' after all.]
