[ Before Rudy can raise a hand to knock or ring the bell, Mindy's apartment door clicks and opens suspiciously, revealing two examining blue eyes between the door and frame. Identity confirmed (not that she hadn't confirmed it before with cameras), Mindy opens it wide and steps out, closing the door behind her. While any other girl at 14 might have fancied themselves up for an outing with a (more than) decent-looking boy, Mindy Macready appears casual as can be, if not a bit mussed up: she wears her hair long, tangled and untidy. Make-up? Pfffff. Her traditional pastel color pallet has also been switched for a navy blue graphic tee and jeans.]

[Rudy, for his part, has not precisely cleaned up either; he looks about the same as he always does in jacket, shirt, and jeans, with his hands still comfortably stuffed into his pockets because he hadn't yet begun to knock before the door opened. However, though his face doesn't show it, he's highly relieved that Mindy seems to have had the same idea; it's not that he really thought she might unveil a completely different side of her personality and treat this as something more than the casual outing that it is, but the fact remains that Mindy is a girl (despite rarely acting like Rudy's definition of one), and therefore the possibility, however slim, did still exist.

Fortunately, Mindy's spectacular vocabulary is there to assuage him at once.]
