The sad state of my pull list, aaaaand Beedle the Bard.

Woot! I FINALLY managed to procure a copy of "Tales of Beedle the Bard". It's very entertaining, and I love Dumbledore's commentary (especially his complete lack of modesty and constant pwning of Lucius Malfoy). And I love the fact it's apparently translated by Hermione! *Hermione love* (Not to mention, I'm sure she must be a distant descendant of ( Read more... )

I'll give the new Teen Titans an issue, since it's a new writer, but if he fails/McKeever fails, then well, boo.

'Tec looks like it's going to be the best comic of the decade. 30 pages of Rucka-writing, 22 pages of JHW3 art, 8 pages of Hammer art, how could you make that suck?

No matter how awesome the Manhunter backup is made, 3.99 is too much if the main story doesn't feature characters who I love and have nowhere else to go.

It's never been more clear to me that you haven't read Manhunter. The first 22 pages could be blank, but so long as there are 8 pgs of Andreyko-written-Kate, it'd be worth four bucks. Well, at least to me :)

'Tec, though, I will be pulling for exactly as long as it's about Kate and Renee, and not an issue longer

But-but what if Rucka stays on? Or Dini comes back and he brings Nguyen with him?

Oh you should get this month's Booster Gold, it's great. If you're unconvinced I'll be putting a review up this weekend. Keith Giffen wrote this issue!

My feelings about Booster Gold basically boil down to "Is Jaime in it yet? No? Then I don't care." It just hasn't been fun, and fun is what I'd expect from Booster Gold.

I'm going to get Streets of Gotham because it's supposed to have Cass. The Manhunter backup will be a bonus.

Now that I know that they're doing a Batgirl book, I guess I'd better sign up for it in the hope that it'll be Cass.

I like Rucka, I really do. But I can't get up any enthusiasm for 'Tec, because they've never bothered to give us any reason to give even a fraction of a damn about Kate. Which is a shame.

I got out of the habit of downloading books that I'm curious about by not willing to spend money on the last year or so, but I should probably start again.

I thought this last issue was pretty fun. It had lots of sly references, and Booster being dorky.

Probably not buy it. I like Charlie, but like I said, I'm trying to cut down. And I don't want to endorse them kicking Cass out of the job to give it to a girl who happens to look almost exactly like Babs. Steph sort of makes sense, and she'd have Cass's blessing, and a connection with Cass (meaning hopefully Cass would also be in the title), and of course I'd follow Steph wherever she goes. but otherwise, if it's not Cass, I'm not interested.
