Given that all of Helena's character development in BoP was ignored (I mean, why should she be the only one to which it could actually stick *eyeroll*) - I don't think she's got 'no reason' to be mean to Cass. This is the girl who appeared out of nowhere and was instantly accepted into the family that Helena had worked so hard all her adult life to be accepted by. She even wore the suit that Helena designed and wore with the instant approval from bath Babs and Batman after they'd both told Helena outright that she wasn't "allowed" to wear it.

It's IC for Helena, the bratty stepchild of the Batfamily (I love her, but she is, and her need to have Bat-approval that conflicts with her own ideals as a vigilante is one of her defining personality traits) to have issues like that.

Having said that; yes, this version of her personality was about ten years old and I resented the decision to stick her in a costume she never wears anymore just to mock that costume.

And DEAR BOB, what is the state of the world if a Cass who FRICKING QUOTES STAR WARS is the most IC version of her I've seen since OYL?

S'true. It would be IC for her uneven (is she crazy or just surly? Who knows!) characterization ten years ago, but not for today. Because you know, Helena was a thousand times more awesome after Gail was through with her. Oh no. We can't have that! Character development? Pshaw!

When did Cass quote Star Wars? *curious*

...Well at least Babs in IC. She would totally notice any geek reference.
