My letter

Feb 12, 2009 21:06

At k9feline 's urging (and a few others, including my Mom) I have written a letter to DC. I would like to see what you guys think before I send it. It's a little long,  but everything seems too important to cut.

The letter is dual addressed to Jann and Dan, since Jann is apparently Dan's mail reader or something, as I found out campaigning for TTG!

I'll also ( Read more... )

nevermore is important, barbara gordon, cassandra cain, batgirl, oracle, jann jones, teen titans go!, dan didio

You felt very courtious and matched your negatives with positive re-enforcement. I personally would only be scanning letters by this point if I were the official reader. Seeing page long foul language and general bitching would have me chuck it to the side. Your approach is good, just don't apologise too much - you are a dissatisfied costumer after all.

I'm with you though. If they kill off Cassandra just to leave the spot open for Babs or someone she will take under her wing: I'll be done as well (might have to start a CassVoice to make myself feel better, lol). Babs is the most well known wheelchair bound hero in the DCU, she is like Geordi La Forge from Star Trek (I swear I'm not that big a Sci-fi nut). Being someone with a crippling injury but still in a powerful position can inspire so many who've lost hope.

I still stand by the idea of starting over completely. Modern age stuff, less cosmic or magic events, just the few unique people of Gotham that want to make a difference because the cops can't. Babs may start as Batgirl but quickly finds she isn't cut out for the physical art of crimefighting, which will introduce Cass as the obvious choice for the cowl. This would make Steph the 'accident waiting to happen' and Babs tries to deter her from crimefighting.

Anyway...

It's a good letter, maybe include that you are not alone in your opinion. I bet you'll get lots of support on this :)
