SO! I got Teen Titans Year one Issue 1 today and IT WAS AFREAKINDORABLE! Check out Donna wandering around New York.
I want to hug her forever. Also, we have Aqualad and his high pitched girly screams because he's afraid of fish, Wally hyperactively stalking Robin and complaining his parents like accordian music, and a shocking and heartbreaking scene of batdickery SO BAD there's no doubt Batman's under mind control. Well, it's also especially obvious from the solicits he and the rest of the JLA are/are going to be. But it was still so SAD! Here's the link Scans_daily (copy and paste it, stupid URL)
http://community.livejournal.com/scans_daily/4732733.html#cutid1 That last panel breaks my heart. Oh, Robin.
AND the art is simply the cutest thing ever. I love how the kids look! They look like KIDS! Okay, enough gushing.
5/5, there is not enough adorable and fun in comics anymore, and TTYO is so bringing it. But couldn't expect less from Amy Wolfram and Karl Kerschl (who drew the most adorable yet evil Inertia in All Flash)
Also got Supergirl #25. Like how Kara is written, still don't get the plot. But I like the art and feel and dialogue enough, and Kara not being a brainless twit, that I'll give it two more issues before making any decisions about dropping it.
3/5
Also got Brave and Bold #2, remembering shanealt's comment, (Green Lantern & Supergirl) really only flipped through it so far, looked good, though Hal's perving and Kara in a pink dress creeps me out. Even if I decide it's not my cup of tea, I might get that one with the Doom Patrol just for the dramatic use of speech bubbles on the cover.
Now I want tea...
