And yeah, someone tried to tell me they weren't sure if they were superheroes on twitter, which was weird. I think Naoko herself referred to them as superheroes, and they're definitely sentai which are Japanese superheroes and..well, they fit every superhero trope and Usagi's tiara-throwin's even based of WW soooo. Oh Batman Inc. and the Super Young Team don't get me started. I actually got the second issue of Batman Inc cuz I liked the bits with Catwoman in the first one and it annoyed me so much I actually started doodling a comic where Batman wanders into Japan, runs into Tuxedo Mask and immediately tries to make him the next Batman (because he's dark haired and blue eyed and an orphan! Batman would totally make him the next Robin if he were younger!) until the senshi come and tell him he can just leave because they've got things covered here and don't need a Batman, considering what a mess Gotham is and AMI TOTALLY SEES YOUR CULTURAL IMPERIALISM. It would end with Selina swiping Usagi's crystal but giving it back when she sees it's not a diamond. Maybe I should finish drawing that, I am so sick of Batman trying to control the world...
(I think Morrison just said Wonder Woman was unnatural? Or artificial or something. Which was pretty stupid, but whatever)
