Yeah, in the few hand to hand fights they've had where Harley's actually defended himself, she's easily kicked his ass. Joker's not actually that dangerous physically, while Harley is, so he kept her in battered woman mode deliberately. Also, the Joker-Steph scene was the first idea I got for this story (for some reason) and it just came together so well in my head that I actually wrote it before everything else.
And I specifically did want Babs to be the one to take down the Joker- because she did a similar thing as Oracle (there's an early BOP comic where she convinced the the Joker not to blow up NY by transferring him there and then informing him if the plan goes through, he'll die without Batman. It was DELICIOUS), she's the most confident/good with psych out of all of 'em, and she deserves it, after all. >:/
Constructive crit is always welcome, and that conversation might have been better placed somewhere else- just know that they were having it well outside the building and outside Lapse's hearing range. Perhaps I should have made that clearer.
