No, that's not what's happening, but if you don't know the show, it is totally understandable that you have come to the conclusion. The show is based on the first book about Hannibal "Red Dragon." In it, FBI profiler Will(iam) Graham is after the Chesapeake Ripper, who eats parts of his victims (and other really brutal serial killers). Will does not profile like we see in "Criminal Minds", he has the gift/curse of 'pure empathy'. Meaning that he goes to a crime scene and sees/feels what the killer feels, because he 'slips into his skin' seeing the crime as if he committed it himself.

In this FF the OP asked for "Hannibal having genes of the Old Ones (from Lovecraft's writing) and for feeding on Will's madness". I have never read more than a short story of Lovecraft (and was bored by it ^_^"), so I just improvised. The blonde woman is a random victim by another serial killer and Hannibal observes from between the realms, seeing as in this AU he is a literal 'god' (in the show/book, Hannibal has quite the god complex) and gets a taste/whiff of the feast to come.

I invented a short back-story: That Will's parents were killed by God!Hannibal, that this contact opened Will to the realm behind the veil, which explains his empathy. And that Hannibal spared him to eat him later...

What grown-up Will tries to see is the murder of the random woman, it has nothing to do with his own past, since he was not even aware that Hannibal was there.

Oh, and Hannibal is, of course, in the show the Chesapeake Ripper (the viewer knows it right from the start) and a cannibal and he feeds Will and others his victims. And he is Will's psychiatrist :)
