The Genii have a great cover, that's really true. It's practically their way of life, living two different sides of a coin in order to deceive everyone who visits them. I agree, the different methods of survival that the Pegasus galaxy natives adopted over time are fascinating; the kids in 'Childhood's End' used population control, the Hoffans developed a drug, the Genii developed nuclear tech

I was pretty disturbed when Rodney pointed out that their nuclear tech is only about 60 years behind our own, that together with the Genii's mind set really doesn't bode well. And we two know already what trouble they will be in the future *shudders* The worst guy was not even on screen yet...

But you really have to admire their acting skills! I would have been fooled much longer hadn't we seen the communicators they have early on.

Only in fandom, though. Rodney married off by accident in canon?! Now THAT would have made my day LOL

I know, I thought that was a ridiculous thing to complain about as well. Going down there to investigate was totally justified.
