sir kay the seneschal acted like a good knight, for in his first charge, i tell you truly, he faced off against a most quarrelsome man, agravain the proud. no better match could be found: one was puffed up with vanity and the other even more so! they were both equally quarrelsome, always disagreeable and full of mockery.

PERSONALITY:"Nice" is likely to be a word that no one will ever use when describing any reincarnation of Agravaine. He doesn't pretend he's not an asshole, because he's fully aware of the empty space in his chest where a heart should be. He's the guy who makes girls uncomfortable by shamelessly hitting on them. He's the guy who starts barfights -- and usually wins them. He's the guy your family doesn't want you to associate with because he's a bad seed. It doesn't seem to bother him that he's heartless, because there is only one thing that matters to him above all things: pride. And love, while being full of pride, is not possible. Agravaine is an extremely arrogant man who constantly rides on a high horse, even when it comes to his family. He's overly proud of his accomplishments and yearns to be recognized for his abilities -- and for his name.

Honor is another thing that is important to him, so if he feels he's being threatened, he instinctively fights back. Unlike many of the Knights of the Round Table, he is positively vile, and strikes out with not only violence, but also words when displeased. Agravaine seeks justice in all things wrong, so if there's something he can put to rights, he will without fail. As an honorable man, he usually keeps his word, but he has never had a problem with bending the rules to do so. While he is not completely respectable, he adhered to the code of chivalry like any noble knight would.

Family is one of the most important things in his life, even if he is incapable of having his own. Anyone who decides to mess with his brothers is therefore messing with him. And in a matter of death, Agravaine will stop at nothing to exact revenge, even if it must be against family. Justice is justice, and death, for the most part, is the only answer. But in a time where that would land one in jail, he's more like to rough up anyone who he feels deserves it.

When it comes to interactions with other people, he always opts for honesty unless he chooses sarcasm to fuck with someone. He's brutally honest with his words and doesn't care much at all for others' feelings, to the point where he will stomp a person's pride into the ground without remorse. Suffice to say, there isn't a girlfriend he hasn't made cry. Agravaine is, in a word, a bully. While he puts his family above others, he's an extremely jealous and selfish person who's never afraid to speak his mind, even when people ask him not to. His tendency to snap and get uncontrollably angry is often a turnoff for anyone who dares to associate with him.

Agravaine has more bad qualities than good, but in the end, he just wants to be remembered.

HISTORY: He was the second eldest son of King Lot of Orkney, and King Arthur's half-sister Morgause, and therefore the king's nephew. His brothers were Gareth, Gawain, and Gaheris, and his half-brother was Mordred. Agravaine was most notoriously known as, along with Mordred, one of the two who revealed Lancelot and Guinevere's affair to the king, and therefore led to the downfall of Camelot.

Always was he loyal to his king, and also to his family, but revenge blinded him when King Pellinore took the life of his father. Though it was his brothers who avenged him by taking Pellinore's life in return, Agravaine would have gladly dealt the killing blow. Pellinore's son Sir Lamorak, a knight of the Round Table, whose family Agravaine did despise for the death of his father, would eventually begin an affair with his mother, Morgause. His brother Gaheris was the one to behead Morgause for adultery with the son of the man who killed her husband, and with the rest of his brothers, they took Lamorak's life as well, believing him to be her killer.

The brutal murder of his mother angered Gawain rather than Agravaine, and together they sought to see Gaheris put to death once they learned it was he who did the deed. But after being convinced that killing Gaheris would only soil their names and rid the world of a great knight, Gawain managed to stop Agravaine from beheading their brother. Later when Agravaine learned of the affair between Lancelot and Queen Guinevere, he and Mordred informed their brothers of the crime, and eventually confessed to the king. This knowledge ultimately led to the downfall of Camelot and Arthur, as well as Agravaine himself, whose life was taken by Lancelot when he speared him in battle.

REINCARNATIONS: He was reincarnated only once before, in the early 1900s as a boy born to a poor English family that eventually forced him into enlisting as a soldier in the first World War. Which was really their excuse to get rid of a son they couldn't support any longer. He was a bloody recluse and a menace with a gun, but he managed to survive until the very end with all his body parts except a finger. The family of his fellow soldier and friend took him in as an adoptive son until exactly a year later when that very PTSD-stricken friend fired a bullet into his forehead. Thanks.

Agravaine's most recent reincarnation is Julian Kane, born and raised in New York until the age of sixteen, when his father's job called him away to Vermont. He was a trouble maker from infancy through adolescence, ending up in the principal's office nearly every week, and his very short temper and anger issues got him expelled two times. Everything was kittens and rainbows until, in his final year of high school, he snapped and beat a boy nearly to death with a baseball bat for giving his brother a bloody nose. Feeling that he was a danger to society and himself, his parents had him institutionalized for two years under the pretext that it'd help him manage his anger. It didn't -- but he didn't let them know that. Four years later, he hastily married a woman who he couldn't stand after five months of marriage, and divorced her sorry ass -- which made marrying his next wife two years after that considerably more easy. She left him for another man within the year.

So with no reason to stay in Vermont, he decided to pack up his bags and head back home to New York.
