Is it a Pig? Is it a Dog? No it's a Raccoooooon!

One thing i was not aware of is the fact that a small family of raccoons in trees are capable of making a huge ruckus. As i was sipping some evening tea, i heard something that sounded like a pig squealing, and then the sound of a small dog barking. Francie also noticed it and thought it might of been some children's toy, and thus i imagined it was one of those barnyard animal circle toys. But after a few moments the sounds increased, and a tree began to shake. So i braved the outdoors and stood next to the tree emanating the sounds, and witnessed some shaking and lots of squeals.

I suppose the raccoons were fighting over something in the tree. Possibly a bird, a squirrel, or even a cat. I considered poking the tree a bit to see if the raccoons would vacate the tree, but figured that wouldn't be the safest of ideas, and that upon doing this raccoons would likely fly out of the tree and find themselves attached to my face with sharp claws. So Francie and i just stood in our doorway listening to this symphony of combined pig squeal/dog barks taking place in our tree, laughing repeatedly.

I still worry that a cat has been consumed by this family of rodents, but I fairly sure that's not the case since a cat usually makes a large amount of noise when being attacked.
