FozzieTheBeat and Steak
So i was having dinner at Outback Steakhouse after a viewing of Avenue Q. And as i was slicing, chewing, and eventually swallowing, my steak i realized something. I enjoyed their bread far more than i was enjoying the steak. I even enjoyed the "Aussie Chips" more than the steak. I even enjoyed my Ceaser Salad more than the steak, and if you know me at all you shall note that i've never been a big fan of your regular old vegetables. I don't think this was the steak's fault though. It was rather soft, tender, and well spiced. Instead i think it's simply that i don't enjoy steak much, and have an absurd appreciation for bread.
In any case, i realy wanted to leave a note regarding fozziethebeat.net. I recently reformatted my hard drive, and split it into more manageable partitions, when reinstalling Ubuntu. I went through a bit of work to make sure i backed up all my downloaded movies, music, classwork, photos, and other random things. Unfortunately i completely forgot about all the things saved in my MySql databases. So this of course means all the entries on that particular blog were annihilated, completely. There will be no recovery of those entries, which i wasn't all that fond of in the first place.
So now i have decided to write the blog for myself, somewhat from the ground up. Previously i just used WordPress, And while this was nice, easy to use, and gave me a lot of pre-designed UI looks, i really had no idea how it worked and i loathe PHP. So now i have decided to use Django, which is a python based framework, to write the blog myself. The backend is currently working and everything, so my test blog entries are showing. Sadly i haven't gotten around to the stage of making it "pretty". In fact it's about as basic as a page can get, but these things will come along in due time.
The best part is that if you wanted to see the code for how it works, along with code for my previous classwork, and even fozzieTheBot, it's all visible from my webserver. You'll need to contact me to get a password and login for a svn repository, but it's all right here.
So that is it for now. Soon i shall get some more thought oriented, and the other blog should start getting populated with other entries.
