I love what I do. I don't know why I bitch about my job. This really is what I want to do when I grow up. I mean, a different flavor certainly but ... in essence, this.
Well, anyway, I finally got to see Le Tigre live, and they were pretty great. I also really liked one of their opening bands, Gram Rabbit. August bought their CD, but I haven't gotten to listen to it yet.
Ran into Jessie, and The Other Rebekah (sometimes known as 'Denny's Rebekah') who was there with bassist. Blah blah blah clusterfuck. But I also met some people, which was cool. I've never met people at a show before (that sounds really dumb, now that I say it out loud.) Another Rebecca, a Rob(i/y)n ... and Jean, who I was too shy to talk to because, er, well, damn. *blush*
There are so many cute girls in the world. I mean, there are like exactly one zillion more cute girls in the world than there are cute boys. What's up with that? I'm not complaining or anything. Anyway. Fun music good. Queer Feminist community good. Frantic dancing with cute girls good.
I think I'll try and go to Ladyfest next weekend. Brandi, innerested?
First, I'm going to finish coding the last five pages of the file I didn't finish yesterday. Then I'm going to rework the HHMI report for Anne-Barrie. Do the necessary edits on my article and get the citation info to Liane. If I finish all that before 5, I'll start coding on another file. I'd work late, but the whole office is leaving at 5 to take Li out to dinner for her birthday, so. After that, Soup Day and hanging out with August.
Also, my grad school goals for the next two days are:
Josh wants to try and get together again tomorrow night, preferably in Denver this time. That'd be nice, but nothing concrete so far. Simon and I have been playing phone tag again - this time in rather more fast-motion - but it seems we were destined not to speak yesterday. Maybe I'll see him this weekend. Friday I've got a doctor's appointment and plans with Asa in the afternoon.
Oh, and I did pull out the aforementioned dayplanner ... And discovered that it only goes through the end of July. :P

- Make vocab flashcards for the next chapter and a half.
- Read through at least a few pages of that FastWeb shit and make a list of five or six scholarships I could reasonably apply for.
- Find out how to get in touch with the British Council office and see what they have to say about funding.
- Answer the following questions in list form: Research Interests, Relevant Background (Academic Etc.), Career Goals, Four Things I Like About/Reasons to go to Each School
