I'd love Dean having a verse with Jimmy. Not-Castiel-anymore demon-Jimmy would freak him out in all the best ways, especially if there was some reason they had to stick together.

Being the unbelievable SPN newb I am, I'm still watching all the way through for the first time (the end of S4 and start of S5 about killed my boy until he picked up the damn phone and apologized for being such a dick to his brother), but I pretty much know the overarching plot points and I read the wiki and ask around if I don't. XD

I usually play Dean as pre-Hell, mostly because S4!Dean made me want to throw things, but that wouldn't make much sense here, sooo I'm leaning toward the end of S4/start of S5, when the boys are estranged. Since Dean wouldn't even know Castiel before that point anyway, and I'd greatly enjoy screwing with his "This isn't Cas anymore" mindset. /babbling

Messing with Dean's brain YAYS~ *ahem* But yeah. Headcanon claims Jimmy crawled out of the Pit around then, so that works.

How long did Jimmy stay in Hell before he made it out? I saw in his info that he made the crossroads deal because he learned how it worked from sticking with Sam and Dean. (Dean will be extra-pissed about that, bonus points.) I can see him running into Dean (or tracking down?) right after he climbed out, and right after Dean and Sam parted ways, but whyyy would they team up?

About three months, give or take. He broke fairly early though. They could team up because Jimbo needs help getting revenge on the one he dealt with or maybe he wants Dean to check in on his family?

Dean does love dealin' out revenge on demons! He hates those things. :3 But he always focuses more on other people's families when he's gone and fucked up his own, which he has, so I think "Dean, will you check on my family?" would get his attention. He's such a softy.
