Guess.

Ah, don't worry. We can find someone who will take you on as an apprentice. I won't let you keep yourself in such a medieval set of thought.

[ooc; tsurugi-mun apologizes for let his history major take over this conversation...]

Oh, very kind of you, I'm sure, but I don't need a master. I am my own Master.

Oh? ...and what field do you hold mastery in, may I ask?

My mastery isn't in direct answers. Not right now, anyway.

Isn't imagination more fun~?

But this curse is all about knowing what the letter stands for. I don't want to imagine it!

The curse is all about thinking you know what the letter stands for. Manufactured guilt.

Maybe... but even so, the meaning of the letter is supposed to change over time, going from a sin to a virtue.

Is it.

I forgot... you're not human, and therefore didn't have to study literature at some point in your life.

The piece of literature that this curse seems to be alluding to involves a women committing a "sin" within Puritan New England once, and being punished for that. She wears the badge so long, that many stop associating it with her earlier sin, but think of it as a badge showing her virtuous nature.

Although with the nature of this City, I'm not sure if the City inspire this curse or if it was other way around.

This won't last more than a day, though. And I'm very sure that nobody here has any misconceptions about my "nature". Or they shouldn't.

You never know, it may only last one day, but the memory of it, that won't fade anytime soon.
