After a busy week of having fun (Marineland, garage sale and State Fair) I took the kids to relax at the beach yesterday, knowing that today would be full of rain (the remnants of hurricane Katrina). We had such a fun time...I couldn't keep Alexander out of the water...he just wanted to splash and throw sand, lol! The summer is winding down...we have had a nice one....lots of fun days just hanging out at home playing and lots of outings too....no real projects done because money is tight..and about to be even tighter with the rising gas prices! We will make it thru though...we have lots of experience tightening out belts and don't mind it too much.
Tonight we have Maya's ice cream social at the preschool where she will see her old friends and even meet some new ones! Then, tomorrow Julia will visit her new 1st grade class room and hopefully see her teacher. School begins next Thursday! We've been getting the kids in bed earlier this week in preparation...Julia says she wants to go to bed at 7:30 to get enough sleep at night....that's my girl! She loves her sleep like I do!!
