Strange atmospheric phenomenon
I've never seen freezing rain and now I'm in the middle of it. The roads are totally iced over. My boss called and said I shouldn't come into work because it's too dangerous. She knows I'm not used to driving in these weather conditions and I live on a steep hill that's nearly impossible to navigate, even in heavy rain. Buses are running so behind schedule that you can't rely on them to get you anywhere.
So, as I was on the 1st, I'm in my spider hole, drinking more hot tea than I ever thought imaginable. I have no food to speak of -- just tea and honey. Horatio gazes out the window, intrigued by the white stuff, but from previous experiences he knows it's too cold to go outside.
