This writer's strike is sounding bad. But I understand what the writer's want. Without them there is no show and they should be compensated for what they do.
But, I've been hearing that some people want to stop writing fan fiction too until the strike is over. This I do not understand. Writing fiction is giving the writers of that show something. What they write for the show is so good some of us fans want to give the show a little more. Some of the 'little more' that we give to the show the writers couldn't do themselves. So to stop writing fan fiction because of this writers strike would stop giving the writers the knowledge that we love their shows.
We should be writing more fan fiction, show them that we agree with them that they should be compensated for what they do and to also show them that no matter what, the shows they write give their fans something that they want. We need to show the writers that we support their shows, and we support them in their strike. But we can't stop writing.
