For Seifer, it had been what had come after that week that had been the worst. To have to remember that he'd been that much a jerk to his posse (or what there was of it) not once but twice? That was once more than he could really stand, and so after careful consideration of what sort of things he might say to bring up the conversation that should have happened he simply threw up his metaphorical hands and decided to ignore the problem.

If he ignored it hard enough he wouldn't have to bring it up, right?

Still, that didn't mean he particularly liked hearing the sound of someone knocking on his door. "Don't bother."

By which he mostly meant 'it's open'.

If Fujin had had two eyes, she would've rolled both of them at the call from within. Instead, it was just the one before she pushed the door open. Of course he was being an antisocial idiot.

Stepping into the room, she closed the door quietly behind her, then crossed her arms, just watching the man.

Hey, being an antisocial idiot worked for Squall. ...Most of the time. And with an elephant this large sitting in the room, he was finding it rather hard to find a good reason to be anything but.

Except for the fact that Fujin was standing in his room, and even with that, it took him a while before he actually managed to speak up.

"Yeah. I know."

She just watched him for a while longer, then sighed, shaking her head and crossing her arms. Fujin knew, for all his faults, Seifer wasn't a bad person, and didn't mean to hurt his friends. She also knew that when he did, he would beat himself up over it endlessly. It was her job to smack some sense into him until he got over it and went back to being his old, lovably antagonistic self.

There was another long silence before he spoke up, although he still refused to actually turn to look at Fujin. He wasn't sure he was ready to face her just yet.

"Look... I'm sorry was being an ass."

Fujin almost smiled. He was still as prickly as ever.

"LOOK," she commanded. When he didn't, she stepped over to him, kicked him sharply on the shin, and repeated herself. "LOOK."

Trust Fujin to take the more direct method of commanding someone' attention. Not to say that it didn't work to perfection, of course. Seifer wasn't about to give her any reason to try it again. Once was enough, and if there was a low hiss of pain as he turned to look at her, that was only to be expected.

There was a triumphant glint in her eye as she crossed her arms and tilted her chin up, looking down at the former knight.

"FINE." She wasn't hurt. Kind of annoyed, but more than anything she was just happy he was okay. She just needed to beat a little sense into him until he understood that.

Well of course she was fine. He hadn't been trying to do anything to her. Nothing apart from straining the inter-posse relationships yet again. He'd been a stupid fool. Again.

"Doesn't mean I wasn't a stupid ass."

She nodded once, expression falsely practical.

"TRUE. ALWAYS ARE."

Well, okay. That was a fair enough point, although he had some questions about the truth of of that 'stupid' designation.

"That's not the same."

It wasn't the first time within the past week and a half that Fujin fiercely wished Raijin was there with them, this time only so that she could beat him up just to make Seifer laugh.

"SEIFER..."

Did she really need to tell him that he was more than forgiven as long as he was okay?

There were few things in life that couldn't be solved by beating up Raijin. There was something almost unique about his suffering. In his absence, however, Fujin would have to come up with something else.

"Yeah?"

Apparently it did need to be said. Fujin shook her head fondly, then stepped over and sat on the bed next to him, tilting her head as she watched him for a moment.

"FORGIVEN," she said finally. "SEIFER, ALRIGHT?"

Well, that was a no-brainer. He hadn't found anyone to pick a fight with so really, he hadn't had a lot of chances to get himself thoroughly beaten up. (Not, of course, for lack of trying, but that wasn't really the point.)

"Of course I'm alright."

She smiled at him, nodding.

"GOOD."

A beat passed, then she reared back and punched him in the arm as hard as she could, before getting right up in his face with as fierce a scowl as she could muster, finger pointing straight at his nose.

"Make me get that emotional again and I will slit your throat using wind Para-magic, got it?" she hissed lowly, her one eye narrowed to a furious slit.
