Stepping out of the hotel, he didn't really notice Xemnas, too busy humming under his breath. He was trying to compose something new, but the rhythm felt off; maybe because time seemed to be so messed up on this world.

It didn't surprise him, however. Demyx was never one to seek out work.
Xemnas stood up and waited until Demyx reached him before nodding in greeting.
Reply
"Heyyy, Superior. Uh. Long time no see?"
Well, there went his plans for the beach.

He had never bothered to check on the other Nobody the last time he was in town and saw no need to do so with this one, either. However, appearances needed to be kept, and Xemnas was quite adept at doing so.
"You've not come by with your report."
Reply
"Uh. My report. Right. I... actually had a question about that." It wasn't like he was going to different worlds, and he was fairly certain that Xemnas didn't actually give a damn about who washed what at the laundromat, but Demyx... well, he still wasn't really sure what was going on. "Other than like, I dunno, 'Hey, the White Mage Guild increased in size today' or 'I found a swarm of Sea Neons in the ocean, though you should know', what exactly do you want me to report... on?"
Reply
"Your weekly reports should include information about movement, as well as any recently joined members." At the blank stare, Xemnas sighed. This is why he stayed cooped up in his mansion, he decided. He didn't have to explain every minute detail. "What people are talking about, whether they plan to revolt."
Reply
"... so you really do want to know the details of what everyone's washing? Wait, revolt? What?"
Reply
"What people are talking about, Demyx," he said patiently. "Unless the townspeople happen to be washing coats that belong to us, I do not need to know what color their undergarments are."
Reply
"Sure, I can do that! Although, are we still supposed to wear these all the time, or should we try and be more... uh, subtle." Then again, he met Xigbar wearing that awful shirt, so maybe 'subtle' wasn't the right word for it.
Reply
"Have you anything to report?" He doubted it, but it was polite to ask, and he prided himself on being cordial.
Reply
"Uh, let's see... I guess that depends on how much Xigbar told you about me showing up?" That was really about the only thing he could think of that was significant.
Reply
"The last thing you remember was fading into oblivion." It sounded so much cooler than Xigbar's Demyx got owned by Sora.
Reply
"Yeah. Showed up bleeding all over the place, and then this chick -- Fang -- showed up outta nowhere and gave me a Potion so I could actually walk through the desert. Then some sort of Heartless showed up and attacked her. She owned it, but it poisoned her, and then some other chick called Vanille showed up. Apparently they're from the same world. She healed us both and then I was able to get the three of us into town." Rubbing the back of his head, he shrugged. "That, uh... what's-his-face. Kefka. He was at the hotel with Xigbar. Apparently the chicks have some extra special magic or something; he was impressed by it, anyway." Demyx made a face. "'course, he was drunk."
Reply
"What kind of special magic? Did he specify?"
Reply
Reply
"Kefka is... unstable, magically," he told Demyx. Better to let him in on the information than have him try to get it himself. "He is far more powerful than even our dear Keyblade Master."
