I have a wonderful little story to tell. My lilac festival venture with Christina. I went and got Christina, after a little fiasco at her house, we set off for the festival, hopped on the express way, me driving and Christina navigating. lol. So were going along right and what do we do? Pass right on by our exit. So, we figure, hey, no big deal, we'll just get off at the next one and we'll be fine. Sure we would. haha, we got completely lost somehwere in the middle of the city. We ended up on main street where we asked these 2 ladies how to get to the lilac fest. Thier response: "Not anywhere near here" haha. So they told us how to get around towards the right area, and so we head that way, completley passing by where ever we needed to be just about everytime and having to turn around. We somehow ended up back on the expressway where we past our exit a SECOND time. So finally we end up on the right street, the one the festival is on right...and we come to the end of it and were like ok, this must not be right. So we ask some more people and this guys like, take a 180 the other way. lol. So we did and we finally see the lilac's and the crowds of people. So I go to turn into this place to park right, and theres a guy in a car the other way, and I had to wait for him in order to get over but he has stopped by the cop directing traffic, and I look over and this guy has a nose ring, like the kind through the middle of ur nostrals, and yes...a mohawk (yes rach, he had a mohawk.) And so I'm looking over at him right and he says to me that theres more parking farther down. So trusting the mohawk man we went farther down. So we drove around this parking area for like 10 minutes trying to find a spot to park, and we finally found some people who were going to thier car, and we took thier spot. Now, this who little venture took about an hour...and it should have taken us at least half of that time to get there. But we were there. So we head on over and start to look around. Passing by a bunch of people, I hear this guy say something to his friend, so I look over right and this guy goes to me..."hey, hey shorty." and I was like psh. He was totally staring right at my ass as we walked by. So that was..interesting. Moving on to all the booths, stopped to listen to some of the music, and got bombarded with religious pamphlets. Christina buys her crepe and we continue walking around some. We end up near the road, and going to head back towards the center area, there was this guy hanging out of his car, stares at me and goes.."lookin good baby." and blows me a freakin kiss. I was like what is this? I'm wearing freakin t-shirt n jeans. Oh well, it was funny. So we go back around...more walking, lol, and this time Christina get a hey...but hers was from a religious boy...not the ghettoness like mine. We saw a hippie man with no shoes on at that moment too I believe. So after all that, we had about enough walking around, so we decided to head on home...who knows how long that was going to take. So we venture on out again, and we end up on this street and Chris was like, "oh, my sister lives off this street, I know where we are" so we went on our way and went to turn on to the ramp for the expressway and it was blocked! Yes, Blocked! So now we had no idea how to get home, once again. So we turn ourselves around and as I am sitting in the lane to turn left at a light, this big ass semi comes and tries to turn in this tiny street corner. So what did I have to do? completely back around so that he could get around the turn. Ahh. lol. So then we knew where we were headed again, ready to go, and in the middle of the street is a fire truck blocking our way. Figures doesn't it? So we turn around and all of a sudden I see a street sign that says Buffalo Rd. So i'm like lets just follow this on home. So we go and I begin to recognize the area and I'm like Christina, if we keep going down this way, we'll hit tinseltown, and shes like naw, I don't think so. So we made a little bet. A wishing bet. In which I won (and hope that comes true!) because we went right on by tinseltown. At least we weren't lost anymore. At about this time we passed a building in the city, An organization for the blind, and on the building there is braile, under the words on the building right. Well, Christina was like I have always liked that they put the braile on underneath it. And I go, well it must be for the blind giants. Or something to that effect. But it was random. hehe. So yes, we got home. Took us a little less time then it took to get there. Apparently it wasn't meant to be. HAHA. But no, we had a fun time...some good laughs...*ahem* my "necklace" and such. :) So yes. I hope you have enjoyed my lovely, pointless and perhaps slightly boring version of my eventful night.
