The 10 facts of my trip to Cali
And I am back. Did you miss me? :P Well overall it wasn't quite as terrible as I had imagined, although my dads little "schedule" didn't exactly make it the most thrilling experience ever. lol. So yeah, i'll give a little run down of the highlights.
01. I went to Alcatraz. Yes, the prision. Probably the most enjoyable part of the trip as far as sight-seeing goes...if that tells you anything. haha, but no, it was really cool.
02. I ate at a resturant called 'Bubba Gump Shrimp'. It was based entirely around the movie Forrest Gump. It was all decorated with things from the movie and all. Good Fun.
03. I went to the fortune cookie factory in Chinatown in San Fransisco. It was this TINY little room. And they were making fortune cookies. I bought a bag full of them. They even had chocolate ones. It was my heaven. haha. As a matter of fact- I am eating on of them now. My fortune: "Relaxing music will help to make the right decision"
04. I sat next to Elvis's personal pair of sunglasses at the Hard Rock Cafe. Uh huh, I know you are jealous.
05. My dad took about 800 pictures on the entire vacation. Yeah. Most of which were of Muir woods trees (I swear we hiked 5 miles in there..) and of Grapes from Napa (yeah, I was sleeping in the car...) lol
06. Santa Cruz is most def a surfer central. Walking down the street- its that obvious. While I was there...this guy (who was wearing a bright green jersey, jean shorts, flip flops and a baseball hat backwards over his long blonde hair) STOPS me as I am WALKING (with my family mind you) down the street and says to me "Hey, dude, you got any extra weed?" Apparently I look like someone who would have extra weed? My reply..."Yeah, man, I just put some right in there." *As I point to the nearest garbage can* Ha. We walked by about 15 mins later- yeah, he was still looking for it. That'll teach him. :)
07. I got hit on my a guy who was passing out flyers for a new store that just opened up. It was quite amusing- he had handed me a flyer. So he comes over while my parents are in some shop and I am sitting outside of it and trys to give me another. Then strikes up a little convo with me. Ha. I still have the flyer btw.
08. I saw a surfer...who looked just like Ashton Kutcher. I was walking by, and he gave me this look...so I winked at him. ha. So he does that typical, lowering of the sunglasses to get a better look thing, and smiles as I walk by. :)
09. There was this car auction going on in Monterray, I swear to you, I saw 100+ ferrari's driving down the road. No lie. It was crazy. Quite the opposite of the laid back Santa Cruz area.
10. I got the SLIGHTEST tan ever. Ugh. Maybe its because in San Fran I had to wear pants n a sweatshirt because it was so freaking cold.
Yes, so I suppose that would be just about the most interesting or at the very least amusing parts of my vacation to california. lol. Just got back yesterday and today we had a party at our house for my...cousin's husband, not sure what that makes him. Because he just got back from Iraq. He promised that he would come up from Louisiana (where he is gonna be living for awhile) just after my bday to take me to some clubs. hehe. :D Tennis starts tomorrow...eh.
