I'm just going to jump right in here. I know I haven't posted for, like, decades, but I'm a busy lady. These days, actually getting the time to sit down and type something up is more tedious than not. Besides, a lot of people from here are on facebook now, and that's the lazier way to keep in touch... I'm kinda lazy.
I have a cool job where I get to walk dogs and play with kitties all day.
That's me and my favorite dog walking buddy! His name is Charlie and I get to walk him almost every single day. Yes, yes I do have big scary teeth.
In other big news, I am living with my boyfriend, his name is Chris.
This is our really dorky Christmas picture. It was a pajama party Christmas and I have dino jammies, I win.
You can't really get a picture of him without him making a dorky face.
Unless I just shove my face in his face.
Anyway, we've been living together for a few months now in a little one bedroom apartment. I really want a two bedroom, but there's a long waiting list at our apartment complex for one of those.
In other exciting news, I'm carrying around my own little parasite!
Look at its little bubble body! This ultrasound was done when were about 13 weeks along. I'm now over 18 weeks and we get our finding-out-the-baby's-gender ultrasound next week!
My mom is really hoping I have a girl because out of her 345 (not the actual number) grandchildren that have been born, a lot of them have been boys. I'm just glad there aren't two in there or anything.
So far, my pregnancy has been just fine, there aren't any risk signs or anything like that. My baby's favorite hobbies include:
Swimming around in amniotic fluid.
Kicking around in my uterus to get comfortable.
... that's about it for now. Luckily, it's too little right now for it to hurt or be jarring when it flips and kicks around; it feels kind of funny, actually.
Sorry to my LJ friends (if anyone actually reads this anymore) if my LJ turns into Pregnant Lady Land for a while. You don't have to read it, I know I was always a bit skeeved out when one of my friends would get pregnant and start blabbing about it all the time, and I felt like I couldn't relate. I never thought I'd be popping out another person, though, and maybe I should have listened to them because now I have no clue about what the hell I'm doing.
And I just realized that my computer clock has been lying to me. I thought I still had half an hour to babble, but I don't, I need to get ready for another fun-filled day of walking dogs.
I need a new computer.
