who could say no to free orange juice?

exam week is over!!!!!!!!!!! i'm so happy, i feel like i can do whatever i want for the next weeks because of the two week Easter holidays! maybe i'll go and watch a movie with some friends. who wants to come? (or Pride & Prejudice at my house for Maria). And Amelia we need to have Star Wars saga night, very important!

Anyway, the French speaking exam went really, enormously well today! As soon as people started finishing their exam you could see them walking out with a lot of joy, and an absolute feeling of relief. The questions weren't difficult at all!! It made things so much nicer and fun. But, the two worst questions I was asked were, "What is your name?" lol, that completely threw me off at the start, and i have a problem with saying my name in French, i cannot pronounce it properly. I'm serious, I need a decent one hour session with a French person JUST practicing how to pronounce my name, I can't get that rolling 'R' sound so I end up saying my name like it doesn't have an R and...that's not good! The other bad question was when Madame asked me what my Design and Technology project was, it was fairly easy saying that I'm making a website (hahaha, "site web" - great word, GREAT WORD for "website" the French), but then I sort of had to go into the technological aspects of describing Photoshop and Dreamweaver and that was totally not cool. The best was when Madame asked me if I had ever been to France and I said, "noooo," *smile* exactly the way Claire said it when she was drugged up by Ethan. It was very funny, i'm such a liar, although, it is a death trap saying you had been in France in a french speaking exam.

English speaking was very fun to watch also. My favourite speaker of the day was undoubtedly Jess Sinclair because she made me laugh soooo much. For example when she was describing how the camera "zooms in" she took a step forward, and then later she tried to physically describe camera angles with her hands while holding cue cards. And then after that she tried, well not really tried, she succeeded in showing how Rosencrantz's face is centered on the side during the film with her arms positioned as a square around her face. Nothing made Meiko or I laugh so much.

When I got home, soooooooooo hot today, about 35 degrees or something close to that. I THOUGHT IT WAS AUTUMN???? I love weird Australian weather, anyway, when I got home I watched Conan O'Brien. And it was one of the best episodes I'd seen all year, I think it was an old one though as Seth Green and Andy Serkis were on. It was very funny because Seth Green started talking about how fans like to have their babies have their picture taken with him. And he saying, "but I'm a stranger, and your just giving me your child." Then he started talking about how maybe he could run away with one of the babies, and nobody would realise for about five minutes because it's Seth Green. THEN he started saying that he could probably get away with it six times, and then police would start to catch on. After that Andy Serkis talked about his preparation for the role of Kong in King Kong, so he went to London zoo and met three female gorillas there and one male who was apparently terrified by the female gorillas. One of the female gorillas actually feel in love with him and so to break it off he brought in his wife and children to see the gorilla. Then the gorilla got really angry and sprayed water onto Andy's wife and was very upset. It was such a funny story to listen to. After that, he started acting out a Kong vs. Gollum/Smeagol confrontation, which was quite cute.
After all of that, I decided to make some caps from Season 1 LOST 1x16 Outlaws, for no particular reason other than I like the episode. It's very cute for numerous reasons. You'll see what I mean if you pay close attention to their expressions in the caps.

Sydney! :D    the problem is that on the other side of the wharf Sawyer enters this seedy boat shack which DOESN'T EXIST!!!! on the opposite side of the Harbour to the Opera House is an art gallery and a promenade....get the facts straight!!!!! It'll look weird if they ever want to shoot a scene on that promenade. Oh yes, Dear Lost writers, PLEASE comes to Sydney and film some scenes :)

p.s. I offer my house as residence for the LOST cast & writers so you don't have to pay for hotel rooms. Free orange juice every morning! Love me.
