Missing, Presumed Death podcast

It is almost 7pm in London and the podcast still isn't uploaded to podbean. fff

Well, such stuff happens when you lay off part of your community management team. A link to this week's Behind the Scenes hasn't even been posted to twitter yet.

Missing, Presumed Death is an upcoming quest involving Amascut's brother and fellow death god Icthlarin and the mahjarrat (and god killer) Sliske. Well, anyhow, on the podcast spoiler thread for us sorry sacks who couldn't listen in to the live podcast (for fuck's sake, the podcast is done over a fansite's internet radio service and not runescape's own website what the fuck) a summary was posted:

  • Coming out next month.
  • Icthlarin is getting a new model Hooray, perhaps? Currently he looks more like a Great Dane than a jackal. He is Gielinor's Anubis analogue, so...
  • Quest will feature a lot of TWW characters, especially the mahjarrat ... Does this mean the a reappearance from the generals from the God Wars Dungeon as well?
  • Kharshai will play a role in the quest The one neutral peaceloving mahjarrat. Hmmm.. I'll have to watch what he does
  • 1 reward will be a book that explains how the afterlife works Ooo!
  • The first person to die on a world?/plane? becomes Death(Grim Reaper) That's interesting! It also contradicts Millicanon. Luckily Amascut is a liar!
  • Moia is either as strong as or stronger than Zemouregal. before nadir she was the bottom of the totem pole. Jagex has a mahjarrat power ranking chart. Moia being a human/majarrat hybrid who has gotten close and comfortable with Zamorak recently. Poor Enahkra, she's never going to get Zamorak to notice her now.
  • 1 reward will be death animation overrides, like death reaping our soul, or Icthlarin guiding us to the afterlife.
  • The quest will branch out into other quests Ah, yes. M:PD has been promoted as the real starting point for 6th age lore for a while now
  • Next podcast will be about a new quest they're working on (can't remember the name, Rite of Passage or something?)(might be the small quest planned for release before the end of the year)
  • M:PD will be extremely god heavy. Saradomin may be in it (there was some talk about Zaros really think that we'll be seeing his Origins of Gielinor model in a flashback) More gods than just Icthlarin and possibly Sliske (godhood indeterminate)? Amascut had better be included; she's Icthlarin's sister and with the way the fans are building up the fanon that Sliske was involved with Amascut's crazy it will be disappointing if she doesnt make an apearance. Plus, she too is a death goddess.
  • Brassica Prime will play a large role in the quest. Not sure if serious. For the uninitiated, Brassica Prime was an April Fool's joke. Prime is the god of cabbages, and through player pressure, Prime might be made canon. A Prime reference was made as a sidenote to Death of Chivalry, but since it was a rework of Black Knight's Fortress which involved a cabbage as a plot point, it made sense there. Here? Not so sure

Fanon is still saying that Sliske is solely responsible for Amascut's crazy. Kinda like Amascut was Sliske's revenge on/greatest troll of Icthlarin? I dunno, it seems a bit too much like fridging Amascut to develop Icthlarin's character to me. Plus other things :-S
