If I knew the exact answer to this question I might consider a career in politics. Being as it is, I don't know: I'm probably already qualified to work seamlessly in congress. I'd rather live in a country that spends too much on weapons, rather than one that spends far too little. I believe that the amount of money spent on weapons/defense should be proportionate to the level of the threat we face from foreign powers. Pacifism is a form of national suicide. I always advocate spending less, no matter the venue, however I don't think it wise to skimp on protection. I'll be glad when the USA is no longer at war.
