Rant
Pet Peeve: People who use Matrix references in philosophical or religious discussions. If you don't know that the Matrix is a trendy pastiche of as many religious ideas and symbols the Wachowski brothers could cram into three movies wrapped skintight in black latex and industrial music, then you've miserably failed this attempt to sound cool, informed or otherwise witty. And if you do know, why?? WHY??! Do you not realize that countless others have said it better, and that you only ruin your credibility by resorting to the equivalent of quoting Marilyn Manson in a discussion of Christian ethics?? Ugh. MAKE THE BAD MAN STOP!!!
