The thoughts of this green girl

Well things have been going well...I have a cold right now so I am thankful for a three day weekend and yesterday's workday without students. I have so many things to get done around my apartment today and I am just excited to be in Omaha for the weekend--also to REST!

Last night, I went with my friend Carrie and Dara to the Icehouse and it was a fun girls night. Carrie has two kids and hardly ever gets out so it great to help her have a night of freedom.

I can't believe how soon the start of the Awaken tour is coming, it is rather exciting. I am SO GLAD that I am not doing the show I was asked to be apart of in December, it would have just been too much. Although, I still long for the stage. I will FOR SURE do a summer show and hopefully one in May. I want to audition for Ragtime at the Playhouse in hopes of just being apart of a show there, but my friend Wai has asked me to come audition for the musical at the Chanticleer...the run of the shows are different so technically I could do both...but I'm not sure if I want to do that...well I'll audition for both and just see what happens.

I am also trying to figure out my living situation next year...Jada and I have talked seriously about renting a house together with her current roommate Jess or a friend of hers from where she teaches. Also, Kori and I have discussed living together as well...I just don't know what my roommate will do. She is going to stay here until August but I don't know what she is doing after that...part of me doesn't want to have to move again...but living in a house would be great. Maybe Jada, Jess, Kori and I could all get a house together! So who knows...I have time to figure it out.

I just finished an excellent book that Mara gave me when she came to visit in November. It is called Chosen and is by Ginger Garrett. Check it out! I also have the goal of reading through the entire Bible this year...Jada and I (and think Tara...) are following this Discipleship Journal format. It is actually really fascinating. I have read a lot of the New Testament Books several times as well as Psalms and Proverbs. But most of the Old Testament I have not. So I am really enjoying reading the actual stories I have heard so many times directly from scripture.

I need to start figuring out my trip to see Mara. I have been scheduled to work State Scoring for the 11th Grade the weekend I was suppose to go visit Mara...so now I'm trying to figure out what to do...if there is another time I could go and if it works for her. The problem is I get paid about $400 to work the State Scoring, so that is hard to turn down. We will see...

There are so many people I need to talk to...but I don't know if my voice will hold out: Esther, Jona, Denise, Kori and Mara...but I will try to call a few people back today.

Oh! And for those of you still reading be looking for an evite coming soon about my February 3rd Birthday party.
