Gah. Excellent episode. Moving and whatnot. But seriously. It's already a running joke that Supernatural can't keep a female regular. Now they go and kill off two at one time? If you ask me (and, yeah, I know nobody did) the Krip needs to worry less about jumping the shark and more about draining the tank till there's nothing left swimming around in there to watch. I mean, I'll watch the show til my eyes burn out or they cancel it - whichever comes first, but even Sam and Dean seem to have written their stories off as finished. All the comments about no families in their future; about not living long enough to grow old. And now, what response do we get to the "any last words" query? 'Nah, I'm good.'
!
It's understandable, of course. True to the developmental phase of the character. After all that's happened to Sam and Dean, and in such a short time, of course they'd have burned out by now.
But how can you keep your viewership from doing the same in this scenario?
Bah. I had a similar reaction when Henrickson went, so I'll probably get over it. But I wish I didn't have to.
And right before the bitch queen of all hiatuses. Sheesh!
