Disclaimer: Neither Clark nor Lex nor Kon belong to me. (And no, I don't know how Kon got brought into this one. I just had the urge to write some Daddy!Lex, even if there's only about a line of it in this.)
Summary: written for the 'Strip' challenge at slashthedrabble

A part of Clark has always felt naked around Lex. No matter how Superman might posture, or Clark might hedge, Lex can still strip him bare with a look, a word. Even the absence of one. Clark flies Kon to the penthouse when it’s Lex’s turn to keep him, or Lex drives out to the farm in one of his limos. And he treats Clark like a fixture each and every time - blank eyes ghosting over Clark’s face like Lex hardly sees it. Like the hands that button their son’s coat, didn’t once take as much care in removing Clark’s clothing. In guiding Clark’s hands; teaching him how to tease and to play. How to open to Lex, in the one way that Clark was brave enough to do when his secrets seemed so important.

Clark wishes, now, that they could shed those pretenses. Despite everything, he’d offer the truth to Lex like a fatted calf if he thought that Lex would accept it. He’d tear away all the false indifference, the measured coolness. It’s a little frightening, sometimes, what Clark would give to get beneath Lex’s disguises the way Lex gets beneath his.

And what Clark would break.
