Summary: A collection of 50 Wes/Tony sentences for
1sentence. Some more AU than others.
1. Comfort
“If it’s of any comfort… you aren’t the only one who’s ever lost his lunch the first time he’s actually seen a Kart'iga,” Wesley says, rubbing Tony’s back.
2. Kiss
They’re in the back of a squad car, covered in ectoplasm, but Tony’s hands are fisted in Wesley’s shirt, his tongue is warm and insistent against Wesley’s own, and Wesley doesn’t bloody care about the handcuffs or the slime.
3. Soft
There is only one item in the box that isn’t sharp, cursed, or a dusty old book - a soft, small rabbit which Wesley’s eyes tell Tony not to question.
4. Pain
The pain is momentary, fading even as Tony arches back further and breathes, “Damn, Wes, do that again.”
5. Potatoes
The waiter falls, face first, right into Tony’s chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes - glassy black eyes now dead and sightless; Tony looks at Wes and sighs, “I just can’t take you anywhere, you know that?”
6. Rain
They are both dripping wet but neither of them notices; Tony’s voice is thick as he asks, “If this is so over, then why the hell did you even come back here?”
7. Chocolate
There were candies under the Christmas tree this year - his favorite - next to a broad sword and an encyclopedia of Turkish hexes for Wesley.
8. Happiness
It was a strange feeling - light and liberating and absolutely terrifying; Wesley dreaded the day it would be lost to him, as inevitably happiness always was.
9. Telephone
He loves the sound of Wes’s voice - even from miles away; shop talk, dirty talk - everything sounds better in Wes-speak.
10. Ears
He blushes straight up to his ears, and Wesley grins; “You see, Tony, magic is good as more than just a weapon.”
11. Name
It’s one creepy-ass case, and it’s been a bitch to try and solve; Tony’s willing to accept help from any who offer - so he jots down the British guy’s name and cell number.
12. Sensual
There’s something erotic about just the thought of it, and Tony doesn’t want to consider why - instead he focuses on the scent, the taste, the feel of Wes as Wes arches his neck in invitation and Tony’s fangs extend.
13. Death
Tony traces the scar which, inexplicably enough, appears healed, though of course it never got the chance to mend; Wesley is thankful - they don’t need the reminder of what he’s become.
14. Sex
Much to his relief, McGee merely rolls his eyes and steps back over their clothing, saying, “For God’s sake, guys, you could at least lock the damned door.”
15. Touch
It is only after lying with Tony for a time that Wesley’s skin no longer feels cold to the touch, and he wonders which of them is more desperate for the lie that the warmth tells.
16. Weakness
Wesley rounds the corner slowly, but still the sight of the Mustang’s burnt shell - the corpse of its driver - steals his breath, nearly drops him on his knees.
17. Tears
He thinks he has it all figured out ‘til word reaches them about Los Angeles; Tony reaches Voicemail for the hundredth time and wipes his eyes when no one is looking.
18. Speed
Tony is only human, but he has a quick draw, an excellent aim, and eerily perceptive instincts; Wesley decides early on that he can trust Tony with his life.
19. Wind
Tony tries hard, but somehow Wesley catches wind of the Cedars Sinai incident and forbids him to check into the ER again - no matter how funny it is to watch the nurses try and find his absent pulse.
20. Freedom
At the end of the two days, as he and Ziva argue with the medics, Tony sees Wes out the corner of his eye, and Wes looks equally relieved and furious; Tony can only imagine what Wes’d planned to do if he got to Tony’s captors before Gibbs did.
21. Life
His life had been crazy enough - murderous transvestites and chop blocked body parts - but with Wes in it, Tony’s existence became a whole new species of chaos.
22. Jealousy
Tony’s never been the jealous type - but, then, he’s never loved someone who worked day in and day out next to an immortal hero who didn’t realize he was flirting when he actually was.
23. Hands
Tony is terrified for a full moment; then Wesley puts one hand over Tony’s and Tony forgets to fear the spellbook open in front of him.
24. Taste
“It’s not that bad, actually - better than pig, let me tell you,” Tony confides as Wesley tries not to smile and McGee pays the startled kid from the blood bank.
25. Devotion
Tony is willing to leave that second - his friends, his career - and, knowing that, Wesley isn’t willing to let him.
26. Forever
Tony can’t wrap his mind around the fact that there’s no way out of this one - no mystical amulet or ancient spell that can offer a solution; Wesley saved his life and it is Tony’s turn to return the favor, but Wesley doesn’t have a life to save.
27. Blood
Blood rushes to his head, so fast he feels vertigo, and he realizes that the not knowing wasn’t worse - hearing Angel’s confirmation is.
28. Sickness
It’s not like you see in the movies - it’s slow, and it’s painful, and Wesley holds him close as Tony is dying, cursing him and loving him just the same.
29. Melody
It took him back, like a chord from a half-forgotten melody - one touch of Tony’s skin took him right back to the moment he’d decided to end this.
30. Star
He never stopped surprising Wesley - a hike under the stars, a cruise - they did things, went places, Wesley would never have seen the need of otherwise.
31. Home
He only let himself feel the exhaustion once he’d gotten home; Wes half-hugged, half-caught him at the door.
32. Confusion
He can’t understand what he’s hearing as he listens to Jenny’s message, again - and again; with a sincerity that shouldn’t accompany those words, she apologizes, “I’m sorry, Wes… We couldn’t get to him in- We’d only just located him when the car blew.”
33. Fear
Wesley laughed, but Tony wasn’t reassured; he knows a jealous ex when he sees one, and it’s just his luck that his boyfriend’s jealous ex is a frickin’ vampire.
34. Lightning/Thunder
There’s a storm outside, but Wesley braves it, knowing Tony will have a movie and popcorn waiting by the time he arrives.
35. Bonds
Somewhere along the way they’d forged bonds that each were reluctant to sever; it wasn’t easy, living in their separate worlds without growing separate from one another, but they did everything they could to make it work.
36. Market
They walk between the vendor’s stalls, searching for wormroot and summoning charms and their missing Navy lieutenant.
37. Technology
Tony is highly amused with himself until Wes offers to help Angel rerecord his voicemail greeting - and explains why it had not been a good idea to let Tony do it.
38. Gift
Wes opens the package and finds Gibbs’ bottle of Jack; “Not again,” Tony groans, dreading what Gibbs will say when he sees what Tony had bought for Wes.
39. Smile
Wesley has always loved Tony’s smile; he pictures it in the darkness and feels less alone as the cold creeps in.
40. Innocence
He doesn’t want to tell DiNozzo the truth - there’s a sort of innocence in not knowing that monsters really do lurk out there, and for some reason Wesley is hesitant to take that innocence away from the other man.
41. Completion
He comes down slowly, breath leveling and deepening until he’s nearly dozing off - the strain and length of the day catching up with him; he doesn’t have time to feel guilty - Tony’s soft snore makes him smile and assures him that the feeling is mutual.
42. Clouds
They’re catching a late lunch in the park and pointing out cloud animals like children (because how the hell else do you cope with finding the severed heads of a dozen coeds in the trunk of a Navy corporal’s car?) and Ziva thinks hers looks like a bunny; Tim thinks even Ziva’s cloud bunny looks Mussad and menacing and Tony smiles - Wes would say that the bunny looks demonic and would agree with Tony that the cloud slightly down and to the right looks just like an adze.
43. Sky
Tony thinks he’s done a good job of keeping the two sides of his life apart from one another until the day something big and fanged and tentacled swoops down on him and Gibbs and Ducky, straight out of the sky, and Gibbs bounces a cell phone off the back of Tony’s head, grumbling, “DiNozzo! Tell your boyfriend to get his ass down here and help us kill this thing."
44. Heaven
After a while he stops wondering what comes next - Wesley is with him, and they aren’t the first to look forward to a future with no next, no end.
45. Hell
“Yeah, I know I can’t get him out from here - that’s why you’re going to get me in.”
46. Sun
Much to Tony’s delight, it turns out that those stories about vampires and darkness are just that; he makes Wes come with him to shop for sunglasses and walk the beach.
47. Moon
There’s a full moon shining overhead the first time they kiss, and Tony wonders if that explains his strange behavior; Tony’s done this with guys before - risky in his line of work, but Wes feels riskier than most in some way Tony can’t identify.
48. Waves
It is sorta funny (and Wes owed him for the Kart’iga incident) but Tony doesn’t laugh as he scolds Ziva and explains that demon hunters can get seasick too.
49. Hair
Tony is always a considerate lover, never letting his own needs overshadow his skills (which is actually why so few of his exes have actively tried to kill him), so he’s surprised himself when that thing Wesley does with his tongue makes Tony tug at Wes’s hair and babble incoherently, bones reduced to jelly and absolutely useless for a good fifteen minutes.
50. Supernova
It’s intense to the point of inspiring awe - far surpassing fireworks, it’s the birth and death of a sun; Wesley suspects Tony has been playing about in Wesley’s spellbooks, but they are both too smug and sated and comfortable in Wesley’s bed for him to mention it.
