Life is no longer instantaneous

So I lost my credit card.

Fortunately nothing bad came of it. I noticed it quite rapidly and phoned them up and cancelled it. There were no transactions on it after my last one. This is a good thing because the silly bastards keep raising my limit and it is now way too high, and I could really get screwed. I suppose I could talk to them about that and get it lowered.

Anyways, back to my point ... yes I have one *grins*.

I am now deprived of a Credit Card for a while until they send me my new one. Not really a big deal; what is a few days without a silly piece of plastic.

Well ...

What it means is that I can't think of a big and go, oh! I really want that, and log on to Amazon and order it instantly. Yes, I had a tendancy to do that, which I really should stop awhile because I have a large back log right now of books I have bought that I have not yet read.

I do it though, and I like it. I am now upset that I cannot do this just on a whim.

Isn't that pathetic?

Update:

In case you are curious the book in question is:

http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/0441790976/qid=1144788245/sr=1-27/ref=sr_1_2_27/701-3459292-1729955

and I really do recommend it. How can you go wrong with a Horror story with a lamia and Byron & Shelley in it.
