sullen, dull eyes
sweetly swept
fallen diamonds
kissing them lightly
cradling them softly,
and loving them
ever so gently.

sullen, dull eyes
quietly watching
etherwordly diamonds
sparkle and tip toe-
gracefully, playfully under the starscape
with each kiss they blow to her.
she watched.,.,.
with love in her heart.,.
she could only marvel.

Sullen eyes no more.
Under the moon light,
she watches them dance
kicking up stardust in her eyes.

She never speaks,
never dare say a word.
She loves her diamond creatures.
She cherishes them with all her heart.
For she knows for sure,
they are true to her.,.,.
true as the sun and stars.,.,.
for she knows.,.,.
she is.,.,.
sure.,.,.,.

They are everything to her,
those diamond creatures.
They blanket the dooming sky
with light for her,
egnite a spark behind her dormant eyes,
they fill her.

And so she sits.
Watching them frolic
from rock to lily pad
waiting for even one glance,
one smile,
one gesture.

day meets night.
night meets day.
stars have their secret tryst with the sun.
her eyes grow empty.,.
no glances,
they lose their spark,
not a smile,
they grow sullen.
not even a nod,
she grows empty.

She does not speak.
She does not say a word.
She loves her diamond creatures,
too much-
to ever fathom
that they would
wound her so,
hurt her so,
leave her,
or even worst
never have cared at all.
