Well let's see.
Started learning how to spin poi so that I can be a part of the Flam Chen show coming up in November. Poi are, essentially, fireballs on the ends of chains with handles you wrap around your index and middle fingers of each hand. We practice with regular balls instead of fire for now because trust me, we would all be aflame otherwise. It's a freaking ton of fun, but I've hurt myself multiple times with them already and I've only been spinning for 2 nights. Tonight's highlight was when something went horribly awry and one of the chains came crashing down across my right thigh, leaving a lovely raised print of chain across the tender part of my leg. It was pretty cool.
Friday night is the Renegade Rollergirls game in Scottsdale, which I'm going to. I'm pretty psyched to watch these girls skate, everyone's said they're really good and it should be fun to watch.
Saturday is filled with crap to do. My brother has a volleyball tournament at Amphi High so I'm going to go see him play and visit with him and the parents for awhile, maybe do lunch or something. Then we have a league meeting in the late afternoon/early evening and maybe a skate maintenance party with Rai... maybe. I'm thinking that there's something about Saturday that I'm totally just like, spacing out on but I can't recall it so hopefully it isn't important. *grimace*
