It's still raining, which is just what we need with the back so flooded. I guess it's shaping up to be another year like last year.
I've been gathering the violets in the front and drying them. Last year I was not only lucky enough to save enough violets, but I also traded them with a great lady in Florida. I sent her some violets and she sent me back some soap she made with the violets!! This year I've been air-drying instead of using the toaster and I have to say they don't look so pretty, so maybe I'll switch back.
I've been frantically making beaded stuff for the Fairie Festival next month. Here's a sample, a big chunk of jasper set in peyote stitch and embellished.
Well, that's it for this morning, I hope to crack out the paint brushes any moment....here's a tiny little pin I also made for the festival, that's silver acrylic around the edge that doesn't scan well. The whole thing is about 1 inch across.
