She drew these exactly as I pictured them in the scene. Oh my god, Ashlee's delicate hands, the phone, the soft colors. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. It's like the person viewing the art IS Ashlee and those are your hands. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this drawing. Just, wow. And Vicky-T! Look at the detail and the expression on her face! It's like being one of the little emo kids at the front of the stage, pushing through the Cobra fans to get a look at her. Just, wow, wow, wow!
Excerpt for art #1: Whenever she needed to hear from a decent human being, she would put Jessica on speakerphone and give herself a French manicure. Jess usually had really great advice about stuff, even if Ashlee refused to take it half the time. It's the principle of the thing.
The shadowing! You can look into the nail polish bottle. Hand's are hard as hell to draw and these hands are so gorgeous and lifelike. Oh my god, people. Oh my god. I think this particular paragraph was cut from the final version, but still totally story canon. ;_; Didn't mean to Joss you.

Same party kids, same fangs being thrown up, but sometimes when she squints into the crowd she sees people who aren't decked to the nine in neon. Girls and guys in tiny clusters in their crowd who are watching her instead of Gabe and a crowd of them, kohl marked and laughing at the front of the stage.
COMPLIMENT THESE MAD SKILLZ! The flower in Vicky-T's hair, the bracelets she always wears, and just look at that mic! It's bloody perfect!
